Started in 2004, Flooring United
was conceived by a group of life-long flooring professionals
who wanted to develop a new and better way to buy and sell
flooring. Utilizing a “Co-Op” business model, Flooring
United members can offer specialty store service at a direct
or discount store price. Basically, we share the cost of operation
among our members (i.e. stores, warehouse, support staff, advertising,
etc.), and allow our members to operate at a cost well below
most retailers, wholesalers, or internet stores. |

John – Installation Expert; Specialty - hard
surfaces: Commercial and Residential.
An Illinois native, John learned the installation trade in a
union shop. John spent many years as an apprentice before earning
a position as a master installer. John competed and won 3rd
place in a state wide contest demonstrating mastery in floor
design and installation. John now lives in Huntersville with
his wife and three children. They attend the Family Christian
Life Center. |

Scott - Installation Expert; Specialty - hard surfaces:
Commercial and Residential.
Scott spent 25 years installing high-end flooring in resort
areas around Boca Raton, Florida. Scott has many years of experience
in design and is an expert in product fabrication. This unusual
skill makes Scott uniquely qualified for outstanding detail
work. Scott lives in Long Creek with his wife and three daughters. |

Marco -Installation Expert; Specialty - Carpeting:
Commercial and Residential.
Marco comes from an installation family and has grown up in
the flooring business. Marco’s uncle taught him the trade
and stressed that you must take your time installing carpet
or find another way to make a living. At 23 years old, Marco
is our youngest installer but his work ethic and attention to
detail has proven himself as a superior craftsman with skills
much beyond his years. Marco lives near his family in Newton
Conover. |

Mark - Installation Expert; Specialty - Residential:
Hard Surface; Concentration Commercial: Vinyl and Carpet. A
Charlotte native, Mark, earned his Bachelors Degree in Math
from the UNC at Charlotte. Mark has been in business for 10
years, and received his certification upon opening. He shown
in the picture with his yellow lab; he takes Jackson everywhere.
